Our brains are amazing, complex organs that are influenced by countless factors from environment to genetics to beliefs and perceptions to name a few. Brains with ADHD, a neurotype that's been very poorly named Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder, makes many of us very creative, thoughtful, thought-filled, energetic, energized, out-of-the-box thinkers, diligent, hard-working, passionate, spontaneous, fun, funny and all sorts of other positive stuff. The parts that (may) cause us challenges can be addressed and solutions found with a qualified, experienced counsellor we connect well with .
ADHD is not something to be “cured”; it is a neurotype to work with, to understand, to accept and embrace while finding systems that work for us to minimize or eliminate our unwanted symptoms.
Working with me - a neuroaffirming, neurodivergent Registered Clinical Counsellor - is about empowering you, while exploring your experiences, thoughts, and feelings in a safe, nonjudgmental space. Your sessions are tailored for you so you, too, can relate to ADHD as being more of a super power than a super pain.
I’ve compiled a list of possible “super pains” you may experience in the graphic I'll post below. Counselling can help with these pains and help you to unravel the snarl ball that may have built up over the years. Book a free consult with me through my online booking site or message me through my website www.tarahope.ca so you can ask me any questions and find out if I am a good fit for you. I'd love to help you get your cape on.
